When I lived in LA, I had a girlfriend who worked at a big time auction house. When collections came in, she’d call me so I could look over the merch. When they received a portion of Elvis’ estate, I was there in a heartbeat. I tried on some of his jackets, his watches – everything fit as if custom made. At that time, I was 6 ft and about 175. I guess Elvis was, too.

Elvis’ daddy borrowed $180 for the materials to build this 400 square foot, 2 room house. When he couldn’t pay the loan, he forged a check and did 9 months in jail. Humble. Damn humble.

Local artwork in Tupelo. Was Elvis’ lower lip ever that fat?

Did Elvis ever own the RCA dog? Was that his record label? Did he ever own a gold lame suit? Damned if I know.

What was for breakfast? Grits?

Elvis? Englebert? Or Jimmy Joe Bobby Clark?

Those local artists.
